With this in mind, Saltire Rare Malt is inviting whisky lovers to rediscover the art of taking their time with the release of their Cigar Malt Edition 2, which is a 15-year-old single malt whisky from Inchgower Distillery, bottled at 48.8% ABV and hand-selected by internationally acclaimed whisky writers and curators Hans and Becky Offringa.
The new release follows the sell-out success of Cigar Malt Edition 1 from the Fife-based independent bottler, which established the series as one of the most distinctive in Saltire’s portfolio.
This second edition with Speyside’s Inchgower Distillery, offers exceptional depth, richness and complexity from this rarely seen single malt with aromas of orange marmalade, cherry pipe tobacco, stewed red apples, honeycomb and warming spice that leads to a beautifully balanced, medium-bodied dram with a lingering finish.
The ‘Deeper Pour’ is at the heart of this release and is a celebration of unhurried moments and the pleasure of taking one’s time to explore the layers of flavour and character that make an exceptional dram worth savouring.
