Our Man On The Ground Travel is an online Global Travel and Lifestyle Magazine for the discerning traveller, providing articles, features and independent reviews for people who are passionate about travel or simply want to do their own thing. We have travelled to over 60 counties and have a small hand-picked team of 25 contributors based in the UK and abroad.
Our writers are a mix of passionate locals who love to travel and explore, freelance writers and award-winning professional travel and lifestyle journalists. They literally are our ‘men and women on the ground’ in towns and cities around the world, who know those wonderful hidden gems of places to stay in, restaurants in which to eat, bars in which to enjoy great cocktails and other local highlights. All our contributors are food lovers and are sensitive to style and good taste.
We have expanded what we write about to cover more general lifestyle items, such as technology and gadgets you may want to travel with to what to wear when you go surfing. We write about concerts, cruises and yachting and the popularity of our motoring section persuaded us to create a brand-new online motoring magazine called ‘Our Man Behind The Wheel’, which we launched at the end of 2018.
Our focus is on ‘local’ and ‘positive’, so whether you are looking for a luxury, boutique or small quirky hotel, we’ll do our best to find it. If it’s a great restaurant or a cosy little bar or Speakeasy you are after, we know where many of them are.
