Japanese watchmaker Seiko has introduced their latest collaboration between Seiko 5 Sports and the famous 1960s Pink Panther cartoon character.
Popular with many across the world, the original Pink Panther animated shorts aired between December 1964 and February 1980. There were also 32 made-for-television Pink Panther shows and 2026 will see a revival with a new film, the first in 16 years, with Eddie Murphy playing the role of Inspector Clouseau.
Despite a number of unofficial watches that have been nicknamed ‘Pink Panther’ over the years, the Seiko 5 Sports x The Pink Panther Limited Edition timepiece is the first official global collaboration between the franchise and a watchmaker.
This particular timepiece has been inspired by the very first Pink Panther episode, ‘The Pink Phink’ where the ‘Little Man’ paints a house blue but the Pink Panther pranks him by painting everything pink.
In a nod to this first episode, the 38mm SKX-style case features a bright pink dial and NATO strap with the words ‘WET PAINT’, as though freshly “painted” by the Pink Panther himself. The dial has a subtle footprint motif across it while the opaque caseback reveals the Pink Panther’s unmistakable eyes peeking through the pink paint along with a unidirectional bezel and large Lumibrite indices. The recessed crown features a pink diamond emblem in homage to the legendary gem from the films and is positioned in the four o’clock position.

The Seiko 5 Sports x The Pink Panther Limited Edition is powered by Seiko’s in-house automatic 4R36 calibre with a 41-hour power reserve, a day-date display at the three o’clock position and is water resistance to 100 metres, making it a practical as well as a fun watch to wear.
The watch comes in a special collaboration box along with a stainless steel bracelet as well as the NATO nylon strap.
Despite being limited to 9,999 pieces worldwide, only a relatively small number of the new Seiko 5 Sports x The Pink Panther Limited Edition watches will be made available in the UK.
Priced at £390 it can be pre-ordered and will start shipping in January 2026. For more information, please visit: www.seikoboutique.co.uk.
