Standing at the tee ready to launch another flyer and it’s easy to see why top golfers are keen to play on one of Egypt’s (the Middle East’s) top courses.

Impeccably kept in spectacular surroundings, the Address Marassi Golf Resort is a slice of heaven for sporting enthusiasts.

Part of the impressive Marassi resort in Egypt’s beautiful North Coast, it sits alongside 10 other hotels, an international marina, yacht club and water park, all set along a 6.5 km stretch of white sandy beach and cool blue waters.

The Address is the place for golf, from the 18 hole golf course designed by Dubai based architect Peter Harradine, to the state-of-the-art golf academy and club house. In January the course hosted the Egypt Golf Series, part of the MENA tour and attracted professional players from all over the world.

A top team is on hand to help everyone from beginners to experts and the driving range is the perfect spot to master the sport.

The course has a ring of beautifully designed holiday homes around it and it’s peaceful atmosphere is just the ticket for a good round.

Golfers don’t need to walk far for an after game speciality as a well-appointed boutique hotel is just a short buggy ride away.

Oozing class and with 48 elegantly decorated rooms and suites and 82 serviced apartments, the hotel is a great place to relax. Its main entrance is spacious and with comfy furniture to chill out and enjoy the views from the balcony.

Designed in Tuscan style, the accommodation is all calming shades and luxury with good sized rooms and all the mod cons needed, including a Nespresso coffee machine and complimentary mini bar full of soft drinks and tasty snacks. And little acts of kindness, including a turn down service and attentive room service make the stay extra special.

After a hard day on the golf course, a spot of TLC is needed, and the hotel’s spa is an oasis of leisure. Special treatments including sporting massages, using top of the range natural oils, can help you relax and the spa has an indoor heated pool, sauna, jacuzzi and steam room plus fitness area in which to indulge.

A signature service is the Siwa salt body scrub, a restorative ritual which is rooted in centuries-old therapies and is deeply invigorating with the mineral rich substance blended with aromatic essence, such as lavender, sandalwood, white musk and lemongrass which helps awaken the senses, while breathing new life into tired skin.

A gentle exfoliating massage stimulates circulation and removes impurities, unclogging pores and helping create a natural, healthy glow.

The Links Sports Bar is the place to watch live action games and enjoy snacks, like crispy calamari and cheese nachos, alongside burgers and cocktails.

Blé is the place for artisan baking blended with modern elegance and serving the best Turkish poached eggs. Food can also be ordered from the grand outdoor pool and gardens.

Golf buggies can whisk guests around the resort to enjoy other facilities and the Address Marassi Golf Resort offers a range of packages for golfers of all abilities, ranging from a 5-night package with three rounds of golf (from $1,030 on a B&B basis and from $1,305 on a half board basis, based on two sharing a double room), to a spoiling week-long stay with four rounds of golf (from $1,395 on a B&B basis and from $1,780 on a half board basis, based on two sharing a double room).
