Bandra Bhai Remedial Martinis Ease The January Blues

Do you have the January Blues? I know a lot of people find the period right after Christmas rather flat, not just because all the festive partying is over and the thought of trying to lose some of those extra pounds you gained is rather depressing, but also those credit card bills will need paying!

Well, we have found something that we hope will take your mind off things for an evening, where you can not only blow away those post-Christmas over-indulgences but cheer yourself up with Bandra Bhai’s Remedial Martinis.

You will find Bandra Bhai below the bustling pavements of Mortimer Street in fashionable Fitzrovia. Walking down the back stairs of pahli hill will lead you to their basement cocktail bar and inviting drinking den. Step inside, and it’s as if you have been transported back to retro gilded and glamorous 1970s India with its opulent, jewel-toned bar.

Here, Head Bartender Dav Eames will be ready and waiting for you with his prescription pad of remedial imbibes to treat your full range of ailments and woes that follow that over-indulgent festive period. Each cocktail comes in its own tincture bottle, iced and with a martini glass, ready for self-administration whilst sitting comfortably at one of the bar’s copper-topped tables.

The remedy would not be complete without also choosing something from their range of bar snacks, such as the spiced lamb chops cooked over coals or perhaps a crunchy, warm cashew nut dish or fresh, soft Mangalore buns stuffed with fiery crab.

Dav Eames’s full range of treatments can be found on Bandra Bhai’s cocktail menu, and include:

  • A Heartbreak Martini made with ice-cream washed Vodka
  • The Lovesick Martini made with Champagne and rose bitters
  • A Lethargy Martini made with spirulina and coffee tinctures
  • A Grey Sky Martini made with effervescent Vitamin C tablets
  • And finally, the Poor Man’s Martini made with water.

As well as these Martini serves, there are also plenty of classic cocktails on the menu at Bandra Bhai, each one modernised with touch points of India.
