Hilton Lake Como sits on the site of a former silk factory on the slopes of Lake Como, famous for its dramatic scenery, fairy tale villages, water sports on the lake and of course its many international high-profile visitors who like to visit the area.

The hotel opened in 2018 following a complete restoration and now has 170 guestrooms and beautifully spacious suites overlooking the lake. It also houses a pampering eforea spa and Health Club, fine dining and a popular rooftop cocktail bar and restaurant with panoramic views over Lake Como.

A new generation hotel, Hilton Lake Como caters to families and couples as well as business travellers. The hotel’s ideal location means that it is able to offer a wide range of unique experiences both on and off the lake. For example, guests can explore the surrounding scenic area by taking a boat tour, going on a picnic bike ride, a family-friendly walk to the local villages or simply cruising around the lake on a Vespa.

For the more active amongst us, the hotel concierge is able to arrange a round of golf, a game of tennis, some hiking, kite surfing, sailing or even a motorised water sport day trip. And for those of you who want to relax and enjoy a bit of pampering, the spa has a range of treatments to soothe tired muscles and help you feel rejuvenated.

For private celebrations, special occasions or events, then you might like to book one of the hotel’s spacious suites or even one of their superior rooftop suites or presidential rooftop suite, which has stunning 180-degree panoramic views of the lake from its private terrace, as well as a whirlpool tub, sunbeds and outdoor lounge and dining area. And if it’s romance you are after, then you may wish to choose the unique loft suite, where you can literally sleep under the stars of Lake Como.

In April the hotel launched its Pop Up Market in collaboration with local F&B partners, which is part of Hilton Lake Como’s Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) strategy to drive responsible travel and tourism, and gives guests the chance to experience true Italian social dining.

Located in the hotel’s Taffeta garden until 15th October 2024, ‘Streetfood’, a real Italian market, provides an immersive and authentic dining destination for hotel guests as well as locals, couples, families and friends, who can ‘live like a local’ in a relaxed and informal atmosphere.

There are five live stations to choose from that include an Aperol Spritz cart that serves the most iconic of Italian aperitivos with its striking orange colour and refreshing bittersweet flavour and perfect accompaniment to any streetfood meal.

Then there is the Piaggio Ape Pizza cart with its built in wood-fired oven, serving a range of delicious pizzas with a wide choice of tasty toppings.

The BBQ station offers diners the freshest, locally sourced meats cooked on an open-air Ofyr fire-pit style barbeque. And then there is the Gelato cart that is a collaboration with the famed local ice cream shop Gelateria Rossetti.

The fifth and final station is a rotating station working with a selection of local partners, providing Como artisans with the opportunity to showcase and sell products ranging from cheese, honey and cured meats to gin and craft beer. They include Rivo Gin, a locally handcrafted distilled gin made using handpicked botanicals from Lake Como. Then there is the very first microbrewery in the Lombardy region, Birrificio Italiano, which has become a benchmark for craft brewing within the Italian beer market since its launch in 1996. Azienda Agricola Collina D’Oro is a farm in Como that produces the famous saffron, for which the Lombardy region is famous. Since 1945 Marco D’Oggiono has been producing some of the finest cured hams. And finally Pastificio Baradello, a local corn farm that produces the cornflour used to prepare the popular Lombard dish of polenta.

The Streetfood Market is open in July and August every night of the week from 6:00pm to midnight and then from Thursday to Monday in September and October.
