Hilton Lake Como sits on the site of a former silk factory on the slopes of Lake Como, famous for its dramatic scenery, fairy tale villages, water sports on the lake and of course its many international high-profile visitors who like to visit the area.

The hotel opened in 2018 following a complete restoration and now has 170 guestrooms and beautifully spacious suites overlooking the lake. It also houses a pampering eforea spa and Health Club, fine dining and a popular rooftop cocktail bar and restaurant with panoramic views over Lake Como.

A new generation hotel, Hilton Lake Como caters to families and couples as well as business travellers. The hotel’s ideal location means that it is able to offer a wide range of unique experiences both on and off the lake. For example, guests can explore the surrounding scenic area by taking a boat tour, going on a picnic bike ride, a family-friendly walk to the local villages or simply cruising around the lake on a Vespa.

For the more active amongst us, the hotel concierge is able to arrange a round of golf, a game of tennis, some hiking, kite surfing, sailing or even a motorised water sport day trip. And for those of you who want to relax and enjoy a bit of pampering, the spa has a range of treatments to soothe tired muscles and help you feel rejuvenated.

For private celebrations, special occasions or events, then you might like to book one of the hotel’s spacious suites or even one of their superior rooftop suites or presidential rooftop suite, which has stunning 180-degree panoramic views of the lake from its private terrace, as well as a whirlpool tub, sunbeds and outdoor lounge and dining area. And if it’s romance you are after, then you may wish to choose the unique loft suite, where you can literally sleep under the stars of Lake Como.

This festive season, Hilton Lake Como has put together a selection of seasonal events, such as festive foodie experiences and special spa packages. If it’s authentic Italian-style festive celebrations you are after, then excursions can be arranged to nearby Como and Cernobbio. With beautiful lights, bustling markets, special events and local celebrations, Lake Como is a wonderful place to see in the new year, particularly up on the sixth floor of the hotel, where the heated infinity pool and jacuzzi, which is open all year round, offers some of the most fantastic views across the lake.

The seasonal spa menu has a selection of pampering festive treatments as part of the new ‘Making Moments Escape’ package, and anyone staying at the hotel over the festive period has complimentary access to the state-of-the-art spa throughout their stay, as well as 20 per cent off all treatments and Comfort Zone skincare products. Some of the festive treatments include the ‘Santa’s Coal’ Hot Stone Massage, which is just the thing for soothing those tired muscles and warming you up after a chilly December’s day on the lake.

On the other hand, the ‘Merry & Bright Ultra Glow Peel’ incorporates a brightening, tone-correcting peel with hydramemory to treat dullness, hyperpigmentation and melasma, and will leave you with a radiant and a more even, glowing complexion – the perfect start to the New Year!

When it comes to dining, the Hilton Lake Como had created festive menus that include iconic aperitivos, all-day-dining and live music at Terrazza 241 bar. At Satin restaurant, the menu includes a variety of traditional Italian dishes eaten during the festive season, such as Risotto alla Milanese with veal shank, Ravioli with Porcini and Lobster Spaghettoni.

On New Year’s Eve there will be a rather special celebration taking place at Satin restaurant, with a midnight countdown and toast by the hotel’s rooftop pool, which will be the perfect vantage point on the lake to watch the fireworks display with the lights reflecting off the water as you see in the New Year.
