Grizzly Gear is Super Tough

Grubs Bearline boots

They are tough as old boots and can cause quite a roar!

Grizzly bears may look cute, but they are big, strong and resilient. And because of their qualities, Bolton based footwear company Grubs has named its new boot after the brown beauty.

The new Bearline boots are as tough as a Grizzly, with a thick 8.5mm layer of Grubs legendary INSUFOAM-ULTRA™ foam, which wraps 360º around feet, insulating the wearer from even the toughest environments and terrain.

The boots are covered in multiple layers of tough DURAPRENE™ rubber and supported on FOOTFRAME™ underfoot technology.

This combined with Grubs legendary heel support and TOUGH-TOE™ protection, make the BEARLINE™ a tough boot for tough conditions.

But that is just the beginning. Grubs’ experts have shod this amazing boot with some extraordinary technology, the BEARPAW™ Sole.

Many years were spent studying the paws of bears; the rough skin that covers a soft fleshy pad in order to create a sole to match. This has been achieved by taking sheets of DRY-RUBBER™ and roughing it up to feel coarse to touch, just like a bear paw.

This rough and dry Patent Pending and Design Registered pad grips to wet and Icy surfaces like nothing else.

Like a bear fishing for salmon on a waterfall, it will give grip where normal boots fail. The pads are placed individually within the outsole, moulding the rest of the sole around them using softer rubber to hold the pads in place, providing ULTIMATE PERFORMANCE™ on slippery surfaces.

The resilience of a bear’s paw is not only skin deep, but something which also goes for the BEARLINEs BEARPAW™ sole.  Inside it is filled with ULTRA-BOUNCE™, the company’s very own blended ETPU (expanded thermal poly urethane), the same stuff used in high end running shoes.

ULTRA-BOUNCE™ is lighter, absorbs more shock and gives back more boost than conventional sports boots, thanks to its crossed linking polymer compound, keeping the wearer comfortable for longer and putting a spring in the step after a long hard day.

Comfort, grip, warmth and waterproof Grubs is a family business which has evolved through nine generations of Fosters and can trace its history back to 1776, making shoes for the local community, specialising in the new sports and springing up in Victorian and Edwardian Britain which eventually catapulted the firm into the global brand it is today.

Produced in black and green, the boots retail at around £129.95 and more information can be found on their website: www.grubswarehouse.com.
