Following its opening in July last year, Japanese steakhouse Kanpai Classic in London’s Soho has just launched a refined new menu centred around Japanese A5 Grade Wagyu, featuring a refreshed selection of dishes that reflect the essence of Kanpai Classic’s unique approach to Wagyu cuisine.
This new Japanese steakhouse concept in Soho blends the elegance of traditional Yakiniku with the premium dining standards of new-style steakhouses.
To celebrate the new menu, Kanpai Classic are offering an exclusive launch deal with The Fork of 30% off your food until 11th May 2025 that is available Monday to Sunday from midday to 3:00pm and before 6:00pm and then after 9:00pm or after 8:30pm on Sundays.
So, what can you expect from this exciting new menu that celebrates Japanese A5 Grade Wagyu in all its forms, individually grilled to perfection at each table?
Well, each dish incorporates a variety of European ideas and techniques to create a bold, new, artful approach to Japanese BBQ “Yakiniku” cuisine that includes sharing appetisers, feasting menus, rice selections, superb lunch offerings and of course a number of à la carte dishes.
In a first for London, the tradition of Japanese Yakiniku has now been introduced by Kanpai Classic whereby they grill the whole cow, featuring Miyazaki’s “Himawari” Wagyu. Unlike the typical Japanese A5 Grade Wagyu, Himawari is carefully selected through a two-step process, making sure that all cuts are marbled to perfection.
Some of the new menu highlights include Wagyu Yakiniku Feasts starting from £54 per person and feature a selection of Japanese A5 Grade Himawari and Moriawase Wagyu cuts, including the Himawari Special Wagyu Steak selection. You will also be able to enjoy six different cuts of premium Wagyu with a variety of textures and rich flavours.
Then there is the Wagyu Yakiniku Feast with Picanha Steak from £64, the Wagyu Yakiniku Feast with Sirloin Steak from £68 and the Wagyu Yakiniku Feast with Filet Mignon Steak from £78 per person.
The Wagyu Steak Special Selection features 15 cuts of Japanese A5 Grade Wagyu, including cuts like Momo, Picanha, Sirloin, Filet Mignon as well as some other sliced selections.
And finally, if you happen to have a big appetite, there is the Signature Wagyu Cuisine Omakase from £98 per person which is a memorable 12-course meal that celebrates the pinnacle of Japanese A5 Grade Wagyu. Each course is crafted to give you a very special dining experience.
You can also include an optional premium wine and sake pairings with any of the menus. To check out Kanpai Classic’s menus, please visit: www.kanpaiclassic.co.uk/menus.
