Beautiful British Boots

Grubs Boots

A traditional British family run footwear business is bucking the trend and bringing beautiful new boots to the market.

Bolton based Grubs Footwear, which can trace its history back to the 1700’s, is gearing up for the wetter weather with its latest trendy range.

The global brand has been flying the British flag for specialist shoes since it was first launched in 1776 under the Foster family name.

Started by Joe Foster, who went on to make sports shoes for the likes of 1924’s Olympic stars, Harold Abrams and Eric Liddell, today it is run by his great grandson David and his family.

Latest to come off the production line are the Frostline 5.0™ Classic (£109.95), an insulated and fully waterproof boot with outstanding grip. The stretch boot shaft is made from INSUFOAM-ULTRA™ (comfort range +20c to -20c) which allows the boot to fit almost any calf comfortably and has a SUPERDRI™ lining to take moisture away from the wearer’s foot and stopping that sweaty, uncomfortable feel and smell.

The boots, which come in a range of trendy colours from tawn to violet, also incorporate HEXZORB™ Technology for shock absorption. This is a component moulded directly into the heel of the outsole to dissipate shockwaves travelling up the leg. The boots are made from a seamless rubber shell and outsole combined and this SUPERLITE™ Technology makes them 30% lighter than other standard boots.

For people who don’t want full length boots, but need the same protection, the firm has launched The Shoreline 4.0™ (£78.95).

New for this autumn and riding on the success and popularity of the Tideline 4.0™, the range of SUPERLITE™ boots are very lightweight and designed for the welly wearer who doesn’t want the ‘Full Monty’ but also doesn’t want to compromise on comfort and quality.

The 4mm neoprene and Trail™ outsole makes this range warm, comfy and stylish. The Shoreline is an ankle boot so easy to slip on and off, making it ideal for camping, low-level walks and boat activities. It has all the attributes of the bigger boots, just in a smaller model.
