Japanese watch maker Seiko have announced the launch of the Prospex Speedtimer ‘Motoring’, which is a Europe-exclusive release limited to only 500 pieces.
This new Prospex model has been inspired by European classic cars, capturing the allure and essence of classic vintage motoring from yesteryear with its curved sapphire glass and cream dial and sunray finish.
This new timepiece has been modelled on the SSC813 with its popular Seiko ‘panda’ design, featuring black subdials that contrast perfectly with the main dial.
At the heart of the limited edition Prospex Speedtimer ‘Motoring’ European Exclusive is Seiko’s in-house V192 solar-powered movement, accurate to +/- 15 seconds per month and a six-month power reserve. The watch is powered by both natural and electric light, with chronograph functionality for precise measurement of elapsed time.
The 39mm stainless steel case is fitted to a stainless steel bracelet and comes with an additional light brown perforated leather strap that resembles the sleek leather interiors of classic cars.
Water resistant to 100 metres, the Prospex Speedtimer ‘Motoring’ is a practical, reliable and durable everyday watch, perfect for both car and watch enthusiasts.
The limited-edition Seiko Prospex Speedtimer ‘Motoring’ European Exclusive comes with a 3 year warranty and is priced at £730. It is available to pre-order from Seikoboutique.co.uk, Watches of Switzerland and other good watch stockists, with delivery expected in November.
