Eden Mill Launches New Fife-Inspired Brunch

Eden Mill Brunch at The Lookout

Following on from their ‘Summer in St Andrews’ limited edition coastal Scottish gin inspired by the flavours of the distillery’s hometown during the sunny summer months, Scottish distillery Eden Mill has launched ‘Brunch at The Lookout’ in the café and bar located on the top floor of its Guardbridge distillery overlooking the Eden Estuary.

The first Fife-inspired brunch is this coming Saturday 7th November with the £35 menu created with local producers from along the Fife coast, including sourdough from Barnett’s in Anstruther, smoked fish from the East Neuk and free-range eggs from Blyths of Fife.

When you arrive, you will be able to warm yourself up with a hot drink, a choice of fresh juices and a plate from the grazing table where you can choose from a selection of Scottish cheeses, an East Neuk smoked fish platter, natural yoghurt, fresh fruits and croissants and artisan breads.

That’s followed by a cooked main course with a great selection of comfort foods such as a thick-cut back bacon with butter-fried potatoes and spiced apple ketchup and apple shards. Or how about a Scotch dry-aged striploin with Blyths of Fife free-range fried egg and beans. Then there’s a rather indulgent Scotch pancake stack with crispy Ayrshire streaky bacon and maple syrup. And if like me you are partial to smoked salmon, then you may want to choose the Shetland smoked salmon with Blyths of Fife free-range scrambled eggs on toasted Barnett’s Anstruther sourdough.

They will also be serving a range of vegetarian and vegan options such as Woodland mushrooms with truffle oil, potato hash and a crispy panko crumb.

You can add a bit of sparkle to your brunch with a glass of Veuve Clicquot (my favourite) or choose one of their cocktails instead such as an Eden Mill G&T, a Mimosa, Espresso Martini or Winter Gin Spritz to get in the festive spirit.

Steven Kersley, CEO of Eden Mill, said:

“Brunch at The Lookout brings together two things we’re proud of: the estuary view from our bar, and the excellent producers on our doorstep. It’s a relaxed, indulgent way to start the weekend, and we can’t wait to welcome our first guests.”

The new winter Brunch at The Lookout is available on Saturday 7th, Sunday 8th, Saturday 28th and Sunday 29th November as well as Saturday 5th and Sunday 6th December, with sittings from 11:30am to 1:00pm.
