The Lanesborough in London has partnered with Netflix and Shondaland to create an exclusive afternoon tea inspired by smash hit Bridgerton series.
Set beneath the domed ceilings of The Lanesborough Grill and featuring an indulgent selection of treats and beverage, the highest of high teas pays homage to the Regency era and English period drama.
And Season 3. The season is split into two 4-episode parts, with Part 1 premiering on Netflix on 16th May, followed by Part 2 on 13th June 2024.
A bas-relief artwork meticulously cast from 250 different mouldings, and Wedgwood China mounted on the walls, evoke a sense of Regency neo-classical grandeur.
Built in 1825 in the fashionable classical style by William Wilkins at the highpoint of Regency era, The Lanesborough was the centre of aristocratic revelling.
The Bridgerton Afternoon Tea features finger sandwiches and pastry tartlets including truffled egg mayonnaise on white bread, poached chicken, chive and sour cream corn fed chicken on granary bread, Lambton & Jackson smoked salmon and horseradish cream served on brown bread, organic cucumber garlic herb cream on white bread, and a cream cheese and kale tartlet. Vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options are also available.
To accompany the savoury flavours there are “utterly delectable” scones, cream and jam, the Morvan-Benezet curated cake and a sweet treat concept will include four signature highlights.
The Social Butterfly is dedicated to the star of the season, to celebrate high style. This is Penelope Featherington’s sharing cake perched on the top of the exquisite afternoon tea stand. A delicate hand-crafted jewelled pistachio and mandarin mousse encased in an emerald green glaze, biscuit base and gold leaf sprinkles. Finished with an edible gold butterfly tuile representing the symbol of Penelope, this Season’s diamond.
Colin’s Travels is dedicated to Colin Bridgerton and his passion for travel and exploration around the globe. This delicious dark chocolate sponge with caramel, dark chocolate mousse and dark chocolate ganache is encased in a luxurious travel trunk with chocolate decoration.
The Book of Eloise follows the character’s love for writers such as Byron and feminist writer Mary Wollstonecraft, with cheesecake vanilla mousse and blueberry insert, whipped vanilla Chantilly, blueberry gel finished in white chocolate with delicate blue edible flowers to finish.
The Lady Whistledown is celebrated by an elegant grapefruit and raspberry mousse encased in whipped Chantilly with white chocolate décor with a grapefruit glaze. Bitter and sweet in taste, a little like her.
Inspired by Lady Whistledown and the iconic signature white, a special Margarita has been created with 1800 Coconut tequila, cherries, cranberry juice, honey and fresh lime juice. The Bridgerton cocktail is garnished with a desiccated coconut rim with a Maraschino cherry pierced with a feather. A white rose petal floats on top with a pansy flower placed in the petal. The Blooming Wallflower is the house’s mocktail.

The Lanesborough’s Bridgerton Afternoon Tea is priced at £85 per person or £95 with The Friends to Lovers Cocktail or Blooming Wallflower or £98 with a glass of Champagne. The children’s afternoon tea menu costs £50 per child under the age of 12.
