Etihad Airways app - a new digital experience

Etihad Airways recently announced the roll out of its new and improved digital experience across etihad.com and mobile app, offering passengers an easy to navigate, modern and inviting platform for booking travel and in looking for travel inspiration for their upcoming journey.

The United Arab Emirates national airline’s website navigation has been re-engineered which includes a new standout left-side menu that allows users to move seamlessly and efficiently through the site. Add to that the bold colour of ‘midnight dune’ from Etihad’s newly integrated colour palette, and you get a rather enticing and positive first impression.

The user experience is made easier and more personalised by the strong emphasis on enhanced digital self-service options. This means that during the online check-in process a number of new features have been added such as pre-populated data to save time, an improved seat map and streamlined access to travel extras all within a straightforward three-step process.

The Etihad Airways mobile app, which is available on both Android and iOS, is also a digital travel assistant with booking, trip management and loyalty member profiles all in one handy place. Before your trip, you will be able to find the most important information and tools you need for a seamless, hassle free journey, giving quick access to boarding passes, real-time gate updates, boarding times and even your baggage status.

Another great benefit of the new digital experience is the integration of the Etihad Guest programme on the website and app. As an Etihad Guest member, you get a more personalised experience and can now view and manage many aspects of the loyalty programme from a single point, which includes being able to add travel documents, view any upcoming trips, tracking your tier status, selecting loyalty benefits, and of course earning or spending miles. You can also gain quick access to your virtual membership card.

In addition, both new platforms give travellers easy access to book an integrated Abu Dhabi Stopover experience as part of their travel itinerary that includes complimentary two-night hotel stays when flying through Abu Dhabi. You can turn a single journey into a two-destination holiday with a couple of days stopover so you can enjoy the all-year-round sunshine and world-class experiences Abu Dhabi has to offer.
