With its vibrant yellow and white striped cups and bright décor, recently opened TEASE Tea Bar in South Kensington is a welcome addition at an otherwise depressing time of the year as winter and local lockdowns knock on the door.
TEASE have however, embraced the colder weather and are offering a fresh new menu of hot teas that have been created by manager Cosmo Lewis, who was a former mixologist at Soho House and Annabel’s. The new teas include a reviving ‘Longevi-TEA’, calming ‘Digestiv-TEA’ and preventative ‘Immuni-TEA’. All the teas on the menu are healthy drinks that aid the body’s immune system, while providing fresh and innovative flavour pairing which is sure to lift our spirits.
With the flu season just around the corner, this is the perfect time to pay a visit to South Kensington and try some autumn-warmers to keep you warm and toasty from the inside out and hopefully keep the flu at bay.
The autumn menu offers a variety of hot tea-based drinks that are not only delicious but will also hopefully keep you fit during the coming winter months. The bestselling Longevi”TEA” lives up to its name, and is a mix of chaga, cordycep, reishi mushrooms and maca alongside an Oolong tea paired with hazelnut milk and is TEASE’s take on a hot chocolate. The earthy tones of the mushroom are full of health benefits, as reishi mushrooms are known to be a powerful anti-inflammatory, all the while boosting the immune system, relieving stress, fighting fatigue, as well as being filled with antioxidants. Maca adds a natural energy boost, making this the perfect pick me up for any time of day during the winter months.
If you are looking for a slightly more calming drink, then the Digestivi”TEA” is for you. It is Chamomile based and paired with a unique combination of bee pollen, triphala, ginseng and almond milk. The light blend of these delicate flavours are easy on the stomach and boost digestion. Bee Pollen adds natural energy that is slow releasing so should last all day and helps to promote good health.
There is also the Charcoal, made with Vanilla adaptogenic milk, which is a great natural detoxifier and makes for the perfect anti-hangover drink and apparently even helps in teeth whitening. Who would have thought! And then finally, TEASE’s home-made Madagascan vanilla, which is made with fresh vanilla pods and uses no refined sugar, so it’s the perfect guilt free sweet treat!
Whilst visiting TEASE, you can also stock up on some of their Immuni-TEA boosters, which is basically a range of shots packed with immunity boosting ingredients and available in three flavours: Ginger & Honey, Turmeric, Ginger, Apple Cider Vinegar & Cayenne Pepper or Beetroot, Coconut water and Kalamansi Lime.
TEASE are also proud to announce their partnership with ‘Against Breast Cancer’, a charity seeking a vaccine against breast cancer and throughout the month of October, they will be donating all proceeds from the sale of their Beau-Tea in support of the amazing work that goes towards breast cancer research.
Against Breast Cancer funds ground-breaking cancer research to improve the detection, treatment and help increase survival after breast cancer diagnosis. The main focus of their research is to prevent secondary spread, which is the main cause of breast cancer related deaths.
