The Terrace at St. Ermin’s Hotel, which overlooks the lush greenery of the hotel’s peaceful courtyard close to the heart of Westminster, has been transformed this summer into a pretty English garden bathed in warm sunshine with some thoughtful botanical touches.
This quiet outdoor garden is the perfect place in which to enjoy some refreshingly crisp and distinctly seasonal English sparkling wines in partnership with Louis Pommery English sparkling wine from Hampshire alongside a comprehensive cocktail and wine menu and light bites.
Last week a group of us got together on the terrace to toast its launch with some superb Louis Pommery English Brut and Rosé sparkling wine accompanied by an assortment of delicious sushi from the new summer terrace menu which has a selection of light bites for every occasion.
With the Chelsea Flower Show just over a week away, the Summer Terrace with its beautiful blooms, will be celebrating the occasion with the acclaimed sparkling wine from Maison Pommery & Associés, who are the official sparkling wine of the RHS Chelsea Flower Show. You will also be able to enjoy a bespoke Louis Pommery England cocktail which includes honey that comes from the St. Ermin’s very own third-floor Bee Terrace.

The collaboration with Louis Pommery continues beyond the Summer Terrace with the introduction of a new Afternoon Tea that features fruits and botanicals from the Hotel’s own Roof Kitchen Garden as well as a limited edition champagne pastry, with beautiful floral themes, washed down of course with a glass of Louis Pommery England sparkling wine in the hotel’s cosy Tea Lounge with its original Rocco plasterwork and beautiful chandeliers.
If you happen to be staying at the hotel on a Wednesday then you might like to try the new ‘Taste of St. Ermin’s’ wine hour, curated by the hotel’s Head Chef which will welcome rotating tastings from their suppliers. This will include things like artisan cheeses and hand-selected charcuterie with a glass of Louis Pommery England sparkling wine, served in bespoke branded glassware provided by Pommery.
The St. Ermin’s Summer Terrace is open daily until September from midday until late, weather permitting of course, as this is England after all. But if the weather doesn’t play ball then there is always the superb Caxton Bar & Restaurant which offers a delicious menu indoors.
