German nautical instrument and marine timepiece maker Mühle-Glashütte recently unveiled the new 29er Casual in Coastal Blue that comes with both an elegant suede leather and sporty smooth leather strap. As well as the two interchangeable straps it is also water resistant to 100 metres, making it the ideal every day watch for the office or a more casual active weekend timepiece and for those who enjoy a sporty lifestyle.
The stylish, clean-cut and easy-to-read dial has crystal-clear minute markers and features a dynamic colour gradient that darkens toward the edge of the dial creating a contrast between the minute track and indices to give excellent readability even in poor light, something that Mühle watches are known for.
The dial’s fine sunburst pattern plays with the light, shining in a variety of shades and gives it a unique aesthetic. The dial complements the 42.4mm high-quality polished stainless-steel case for which Mühle-Glashütte’s 29er watches are known for since their introduction almost 20 years ago in 2006.
The watch bezel has a brushed top, while the sides are finely polished and the middle case is finished with a vertical bevel and framed by the bezel and polished sides of the case back. It is enclosed by an anti-glare sapphire crystal lens.
At the heart of the new 29er is a flat automatic movement that is a heavily modified version of a reliable Swiss base movement and is only 3.6mm high and fitted with a shock-resistant woodpecker neck regulation and has a 56 hour power reserve.
The New 29er Casual in Coastal Blue watch is available to buy from official stockists or the Mühle-Glashütte website priced at £1,890: www.muehle-glashuette.de.
