Jaisalmer Indian Craft Gin Summer Cocktails

Despite the fact that summer has not put in much of an appearance this year here in the UK and travelling to India is a not on the government’s green list at the moment, we thought we would try to brighten up August with some summer cocktails you can make at home and in particular a Jaisalmer Indian Craft Gin cocktail, perfect for dreaming about those hot summer days we long for.

To create the Jaisalmer Tropical Tea Spritz you will need 35ml Jaisalmer Indian Craft Gin, 200ml Twinings Spiced Apple, Vanilla, Camomile and Passionflowers Tea, 30ml Mango Syrup, light tonic water and viola and mint sprig for the garnish.

Add hot water into a cup with a bag of Twinings tea and allow it to cool. Then add all the ingredients apart from the tonic water into a shaker. Add some ice and shake firmly and then strain the contents into an ice filled glass and top with light tonic water. To complete the cocktail, place a sprig of mint between your palms and clap them together to release the mint aroma and garnish with the sprig of mint and a viola or other edible flower of your choice.

Triple-distilled, Jaisalmer Indian Craft Gin is handcrafted in a traditional copper pot still in small batches at one of India’s oldest distilleries, located in the foothills of the Himalayas. With seven of the 11 botanicals being sourced from all four corners of India, Jaisalmer Gin really does encapsulate the whole of India in a bottle.

Jaisalmer Indian Craft Gin RRP: £34.95 for 70cl. ABV: 43% and is available from: Amazon and The Whisky Exchange.
