Summer was well and truly back last week with temperatures reaching the dizzy heights of 30 degrees Celsius in some parts of the UK, but despite it cooling down a little, the weather is still perfect for meeting up with friends now that lockdown restrictions have been lifted and enjoying some cocktails in the garden or on a picnic.
So, to get you in the mood, we thought we would take a look at three refreshing Spirited Union Rum pitcher cocktails that you can easily mix yourself at home.
Produced in Amsterdam in the Netherlands, Spirited Union Rum offers a range of botanical rums that were founded by Ruben Maduro, a craft rum pioneer who set out to create rums with a flavour-first approach. Maduro was inspired by his Great Grandfather, who worked as a rum trader in the Caribbean and having lived and worked in the Aruban hospitality industry, then became fascinated by the world of rum and the fresh produce which is used in its creation.
Our first cocktail is the Spirited Union Rum Sweet Orange & Ginger Pitcher which is made with 160ml Spirited Union Sweet Orange & Ginger Rum, 120ml Fresh Lemon Juice, 80ml Ginger Syrup and 240ml of Sparkling Water.
Put all the ingredients into a pitcher, add ice and stir together. Then garnish with a few oranges and serve in glasses over more fresh ice.
Spirited Union Sweet Orange & Ginger Rum is a cask-aged Jamaican rum which is infused and distilled with Valencia & Curaçao oranges to add a bright citrus note. The hand zested oranges add a rich citrus aroma and sweet taste, and the rum is infused with fresh root ginger to create a perfect union of citrus and spice. The zesty citrus and spice complement the sweet taste of sugar cane molasses.

Our second cocktail is the Spirited Union Rum Pink Grapefruit & Rose Pitcher which is made with 160ml Spirited Union Pink Grapefruit & Rose Rum, 120ml Fresh Lemon Juice, 80ml Sugar Syrup, 120ml Cranberry Juice and 120ml of Sparkling Water.
Place all the ingredients into a pitcher and add ice and stir together. Then garnish with a few grapefruit slices and enjoy in a glass with fresh ice.
Spirited Union Grapefruit & Rose Rum is enhanced with infused blood orange to give it a bitter-sweet sour taste and has been vapour-infused with fragrant garden rose petals and elderflower to give an intense floral aroma, creating the perfect union of citrus and blossom.

Our final cocktail is the Spirited Union Organic Coconut Rum Pitcher which is made with 160ml Spirited Union Organic Coconut Rum, 300ml Coconut Water, 120 ml Pineapple Juice, 100ml Fresh Lime Juice and 50ml Sugar Syrup.
Add all the ingredients into a pitcher with ice and stir together. Garnish with a few pineapple slices and serve in a glass with more fresh ice.
Spirited Union Organic Coconut Rum brings together tropical Belizean rum with sun-dried organic coconut flakes, giving it a natural sweetness of toasted coconut that is balanced by infusing Madagascan vanilla and Peruvian cacao for a sweet, nutty and creamy flavour.
