Smokehead Launches Christmas Campaign

Well, Christmas will not be quite the same for most of us this year, but Smokehead are doing their best to help cheer it up with some special cocktails and gifts.

Smokehead Islay Single Malt Whisky has launched their ‘Dreaming of a Wild(ish) Christmas’ campaign as brand ambassador Mikey Sim uses Facebook and Instagram to share some rather wild Christmas cocktails you can try at home using the new Smokehead Skull Gift Tin, which includes the Smokehead core range in miniature bottles, giving you some great flavours.

The tin contains 5cl bottles of Smokehead original, High Voltage and their new expression Rum Rebel.

Smokehead Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky is the original expression. It has an intensely rich yet subtly sweet dram along with immense smoke and notes of sea salt and spice. This is a vigorous whisky that stands out from the rest.

High Voltage can best be described an all-out attack on your senses. The breathtaking intensity of the peat and smoke is not for the faint hearted!

Rum Rebel is a rich, smoky, salty Islay whisky rebel, finished in spicy, sweet Caribbean rum casks creating culture colliding carnage and a melding of mouth-watering tastes.

These three bottles provide ideal measures to be able to sample and enjoy Smokehead either neat or by mixing it up in a daring Christmas cocktail at home this festive season. Here are three cocktails for you to try.

Smokehead Rum Rebel Bottle and Tin

  1. Smokehead Snow Ball

Ingredients for the Snow Ball include 25ml Smokehead, 50ml Advocaat, 12.5ml Gingerbread syrup and some lemonade. Then add Smokehead, Advocaat and gingerbread syrup to an ice-filled glass. Stir and top up with some lemonade.

  1. Smokehead Grinch

For the Grinch cocktail, you will need 25ml Smokehead, 50ml melon liqueur, 25ml lemon juice and 12.5ml of sugar syrup. To prepare, shake ingredients over ice and strain into a coup glass for the perfect Christmas cocktail.

  1. Smokehead Hot Buttered Rum Rebel

Last and by no means least, the Hot Buttered Rum Rebel, for which you will need 25ml Smokehead Rum Rebel, 3 dashes of mixed spice, 1 tbsp unsalted butter and some hot cider. Then add butter mix to the glass, pour over Smokehead and the hot cider and then final stir until the butter melts.

Commenting on the Smokehead Christmas campaign launch, Iain Weir, Smokehead Brand Director, said:

“There’s no better time of the year than Christmas to enjoy an unapologetically bold smoky whisky. Many other aspects of the festive period will be different this year, but that definitely doesn’t change!

“We know our loyal Smokeheads will be looking forward to some seasonal drams, so we’re excited to be able to offer our range of Smokehead whiskies to enjoy our variety of bold and smoky expressions.

“Whether buying for a personal gift, or eyeing-up that faultless present for a peat-loving pal, we’re encouraging everyone to take the leap this Christmas to see if you are in fact a Smokehead. Our whiskies are not for everyone but could well be for you!”

You can purchase your very own Smokehead pack this Christmas directly from the Smokehead website: www.smokehead.com as well as specialist retailers and major multiples.
