Following the closure of the longstanding Nespresso flagship boutique in Regent Steet at the end of last year, Nespresso’s much awaited new flagship boutique has now opened in London’s bustling Covent Garden, officially opening its doors to the public on 5th May.

Designed in collaboration with renowned designer Charles & Co, the new boutique, spanning 1,345 sq ft, has a very different feel to it. Working closely with British Designer Vicky Charles, Nespresso have given the former bank’s historic interior, with its high ceilings and large windows, a modern twist. More like a high-end café, the boutique has been fitted out with British-made furniture such as the very comfortable custom U-shaped banquette by George Smith and a four-meter-wide floral chandelier created by Cox London which was inspired by the organic beauty of the coffee plant plus a nod to Covent Garden’s history as a flower market.

The boutique is located at 34 Henrietta Street, right on the corner, overlooking Covent Garden’s West Piazza. Step inside and you will immediately notice how it encapsulates the Nespresso brand values whilst at the same time staying true to the beautiful architecture and history of the old bank building in the thriving heart of Covent Garden.

There are several spaces to move through in this new concept boutique, such as the ‘Taste and Discover’ bar area where you can explore your own unique coffee preferences with curated recipes, tasting masterclasses and of course the chance to sample some of the latest coffees, including the new summer iced coffee collection.

New to a Nespresso boutique is the dedicated personalisation area which offers bespoke travel mug engravings and gift wrapping to make your visit a little bit special. There is also a dedicated area in the boutique where you can recycle your coffee pods and chat with specialists about the sustainability and ethical sourcing behind each pod, given the brand’s mission on circularity, being a certified B Corporation.

Anna Lundstrom, CEO of Nespresso UK&I, commented on the opening by saying:

“Our flagship boutique in Covent Garden showcases Nespresso’s vision for the future of retail – a welcoming space in the heart of London’s vibrant cultural landscape. The boutique experience blends timeless elegance with modern innovation, offering coffee lovers the opportunity to immerse themselves in the Nespresso brand, enjoy unforgettable coffee experiences and discover more about their individual coffee tastes – all with the guidance of our passionate and knowledgeable team.”

With Vicky Charles, Founder of Charles & Co adding:

“Our vision for the Covent Garden boutique was to celebrate the building’s architectural heritage while crafting a warm, welcoming space, and I’m so excited for everyone to finally experience it. The boutique aims to be an invitation to step into a space where every detail offers a new opportunity to discover and explore coffee, your way. From the soft textures of handcrafted seating to the gentle glow of ambient lighting, visitors can fully immerse themselves in an environment that feels both inspiring and comforting, making every moment inside truly special.”

Nespresso celebrated the new boutique’s opening with the opportunity to try and buy the new summer iced coffee collection exclusively at Covent Garden ahead of the collection’s official release. This included a rather excellent pistachio coffee blend which I really like being a big pistachio ice cream fan.
