AVI-8 Hawker Harrier Farley Multifunction in Regiment Blue

AVI-8 Watches recently launched the new Hawker Harrier Farley Multifunction timepiece, named after legendary Hawker Harrier test pilot John Farley, and is available in four different colourways: Stratosphere, Terrain, Regiment Blue and Night Sky.

Farley is renowned for his work in developing and testing the legendary Hawker Harrier “Jump Jet” and displayed his mastery of the aircraft when he captivated the world with the now famous “Farley Take Off” with a stunt he performed by hovering the Harrier then tilting the nose almost entirely vertically before applying full throttle to “rocket climb” into the sky. During his aviation career, Farley flew over 80 different types of aircraft and was the first British pilot to fly the Mikoyan MiG-29.

The new timepiece with its 44mm stainless steel case and hardened mineral lens with anti-reflective coating, is fitted with a reliable and precise Japanese multifunction movement with a date, dual time retrograde display and 24-hour read-out.

Inspiration for the design comes from the Harrier’s cockpit and has subdial frames, with the applied indexes coated with Swiss lume to provide an innovative and legible dial. The watch is also water resistant to 50 metres.

The brushed stainless steel case is fitted with a comfortable and supple 22mm wide genuine leather strap with military aviation-inspired detailing.

The new AVI-8 Hawker Harrier Farley Multifunction is available to purchase at AVI-8.co.uk, priced at £240.
