Bolton based British watch brand Duckworth Prestex has announced the launch of the elegant new gold plated Parker, a refined and detailed evolution of one of the brand’s most admired collections.
Inspired by a 1935 Prestex design, the Parker captures the spirit of the golden age of watch design with a nod to Art Deco architecture which can be seen throughout the collection with this latest edition enhancing those qualities even further.
The Parker is transformed by the rich gold plated 316L stainless steel case, bringing a greater warmth and degree of sophistication and visual depth and transforming the timepiece into something even more evocative of the 1930s and 1940s.
The light is caught beautifully by the polished surfaces of the watch whilst the symmetry of the dial, the elongated case profile and typography give the perfect balance between geometry and elegance.
Measuring only 24mm x 31mm with a slim 7.5mm profile makes it an elegant dress watch. However, underneath that traditional look lies an entirely modern construction made with Swiss precision and a watch that is water resistant to 50 metres.
This styling has defined the Parker from when it was first launched, and its popularity continues to grow as collectors look for alternatives to the many conventional sports and dress watches we see on the market today. The Parker’s distinctive look, compact dimensions and curved rectangular profile make it easy to read and an extremely comfortable every day watch to wear.
Company founder Neil Duckworth, commented:
“The Parker is a watch I’ve always loved. There’s a purity to the design that feels timeless. It reflects an era when watches were designed not simply as instruments, but as objects of beauty and proportion. The rectangular case, the dial layout, the detailing: everything works together in harmony. The new gold plated version gives the Parker an even richer personality and a wonderful vintage warmth. It feels incredibly authentic to the spirit of the original design.”
The new Gold Plated Parker is priced at £550 and available to order through the official Duckworth Prestex website: www.duckworthprestex.com as well as selected authorised retailers.
