Luxury whisky specialist Hackstons has been shortlisted as a finalist for Luxury Retailer of the Year at the Drinks Retailing Awards 2027 following winning Newcomer of the Year at the Drinks Retailing Awards 2026, making it the second year in a row that the company has been recognised by the prestigious industry awards.

Known for redefining premium drinks retail and tangible asset ownership, Hackstons has been shortlisted alongside major established names in the drinks industry, underlining the company’s progress bearing in mind it was founded only five years ago and whose luxury retail arm has only been operating for the last two years.

Despite being a young business, Hackstons continues to grow through its distinctive approach to luxury retail, combining its ambitious collection of fine and rare whiskies, wines and spirits, offering expert guidance and education, giving customers a memorable experience through its Knightsbridge store.

For example, the store recently hosted an exclusive summer party to celebrate the UK launch partnership of Lady Eliza Spencer’s Provençal rosé, Lala V, a wine that embodies sophistication, grace and modern luxury.

In the two years that the Knightsbridge store has been open, Hackstons has established itself as a destination for collectors, enthusiasts and those wanting to discover and learn more about premium spirits. As well as stocking its carefully curated retail collection, the store hosts immersive tastings and private events. Customers are also introduced to Hackstons’ wider expertise in whisky cask ownership and tangible assets.

Alphie Valentine, Co-Founder and Director at Hackstons, said:

“Winning Newcomer of the Year was an incredible moment for Hackstons, so to return for a second consecutive year as a finalist, this time for Luxury Retailer of the Year, is something we’re immensely proud of.

“To be recognised alongside some of the most established names in the industry, when Hackstons has been in business for just five years and our retail operation for only two, shows just how far we’ve come in a relatively short space of time.

“Our ambition has always been to create something different, a luxury retail experience built around exceptional products, expertise, education and genuine relationships with our clients. This latest recognition is a testament to our brilliant team, our customers and our partners, and gives us even more momentum for the next stage of Hackstons’ journey.”

Being shortlisted for Luxury Retailer of the Year represents another significant step forward for Hackstons, from winning Newcomer of the Year to now being a finalist in a luxury retail category in the space of just one awards cycle is a testament to the company’s rapid evolution and growing standing within the UK drinks industry.
