There was a temporary stop to become mesmerised by the view from the top of the water slide.

And picturesque it certainly was. Surrounded by the impressive mountains of Mauritius, the Aqualand Waterpark at Crystals Beach Resort Belle Mare is fun for all the family with pools and slides for all ages and abilities.

This fabulous resort on the East Coast has the best views and beautiful sands too where the Ocean Grill Restaurant is the place to be and where specially curated menus featuring starters such as fine sliced smoked marlin gravlax with olive tapenade and crunchy salad and burrata cheese with roasted cherry tomatoes, roquette leaves with toasted pinenuts and balsamic dressing are served. Add to this, mains of fine sliced Australian beef sirloin, sweet potato puree, seasonal vegetables and rosemary gravy, marinated braised chicken leg with red cabbage, eggplant caviar and meat gravy and pan seared red snapper fillet, vegetable caponata and balsamic reduction and salted lemon zest. Desserts are just as delicious, with yoghurt cheesecake, coconut whipped ganache and compressed pineapple or traditional tiramisu, cacao powder, coffee ice cream and cacao tuile.

There are two swimming pools including an adult’s only and all-inclusive package guests can choose their own mini bar items from the resort shop and indulge in some cracking cocktails in the resort’s four hostelries.

With a relaxed vibe, the resort has a choice of cuisine from buffets featuring food from the world to Italian dishes in the La Tavola Restaurant and big breakfasts are served in Le Ferney. Guests also have the option of a free transfer to the Radisson Blu Azuir to try out different options.
