Saltire Rare Malt Debuts in the U.S with Steak House Hall of Fame

Saltire Rare Malt Whisky

Saltire Rare Malt, currently Scotland’s fastest-growing independent whisky bottler, is making its debut in the United States in a special partnership with the Steak House Hall of Fame.

For the first time, Saltire’s ultra-rare, single cask Scotch whiskies will be offered at some of America’s most iconic steakhouses in Dallas, Oklahoma City and New Orleans, where the rarest malts of Scotland will be paired with some of the finest cuts of US beef.

Renowned for curating distinctive, limited-edition single malts, Saltire Rare Malt is drawn from a single cask and bottled only when its expert curators judge the spirit to have reached its peak. This process is headed up by Hans and Becky Offringa, who are known internationally as ‘The Whisky Couple’ and whose expertise ensures that only the most exceptional casks are labelled with the Saltire name.

Some of Saltire’s most prized releases have been drawn from lost distilleries, never to be repeated and will inevitably become highly collectable. And for the first time, American whisky lovers and collectors will now be able to enjoy some of these superb bottlings over in the US. Initial launch expressions include Speyside Cask Strength, Tormore and Teaninich, which are only available exclusively at Steak House Hall of Fame venues.

Saltire Rare Malt will be available from Monday 29th September at Bob’s Steak & Chop House in Dallas, from Tuesday 30th September at Cattlemen’s Steakhouse in Oklahoma City and from Thursday 2nd October 2025 at Dickie Brennan’s Steakhouse in New Orleans.

These will be followed by the addition of The Whaling Station in Monterey and Okeechobee Steakhouse in West Palm Beach.

Although Saltire Rare Malt whiskies will be the exclusive single malt of the Steak House Hall of Fame, there will also be availability to the wider market through leading U.S. distribution partners that include Premium Brands Wine & Spirits, Revolution Wholesale in Oklahoma City, Artisan Fine Wines in New Orleans and Ben E Keith, Sigels / Specs in Dallas.

Steakhouse Hall of Fame

Founder and Director of Saltire Rare Malt, Keith Rennie, commented on the partnership by saying:

“We are honoured to launch Saltire Rare Malt in the United States alongside the Steak House Hall of Fame. Great whisky and great steak share the same values – heritage, craftsmanship, patience and passion. This partnership allows us to celebrate those values together with families and restaurants who embody them.”

The Steak House Hall of Fame was founded by Bob Sambol of the Original Bob’s Steak & Chop House in Dallas. It honours the families, owners and operators who put their heart, soul and reputation into everything they do. As a result, these legendary steakhouses are defined by the finest offerings, exemplary service and their rich history, with Sambol commenting:

“Our mission is to honour the legendary steakhouse operators who put their heart, soul and reputation into every meal. Saltire Rare Malt embodies that same spirit in whisky. This partnership is a natural fit.”

While Ron Small, Managing Partner at Steak House Hall of Fame adds:

“This partnership is about legacy and excellence. Saltire Rare Malt doesn’t just bottle whisky, it bottles history – and pairing that with America’s most iconic steakhouses creates a dining experience that is truly unforgettable.”

Hans Offringa, International Whisky Expert and Saltire Rare Malt Cask Curator, sums up by saying:

“Saltire Rare Malt represents everything whisky should be: authentic, rare, and full of character. To see these whiskies introduced to America, in partnership with some of the country’s greatest steakhouses, is a remarkable moment for whisky culture on both sides of the Atlantic.”
