Many of us are having to celebrate Valentine’s Day at home this year, so we thought we would take a look at three superb cocktails from the Cotswolds Distillery as well as a refreshing STARLINO Rosé Spritz from Hotel Starlino to brighten up your evening at home.
The cocktails from the Cotswolds Distillery are easy to prepare and will help create an unforgettable evening either with your loved one or perhaps over Zoom if you are apart.
The Cotswolds Hanky Panky is made with 45ml Cotswolds Dry Gin, 45ml Cotswolds Vermouth, 10ml freshly squeezed orange juice and 5ml Cotswolds Whisky Amaro Liqueur No.2.
Place all the ingredients into an ice-filled cocktail shaker and shake and fine strain into a chilled martini glass and garnish with an orange peel.
This particular cocktail is the Cotswolds Distillery’s take on the classic cocktail created by Ada Coleman, who was the first female head bartender of the Savoy in the early 1900s. It has incredibly complex botanical flavours of piney juniper, vanilla, earthy herbs and light smoky spice with a touch of citrus freshness. It is without doubt a fervent and sophisticated cocktail.

The second cocktail is The Cotswolds Wild Passion Spritz which is made with 50ml Cotswolds No.1 Wildflower Gin, 25ml lemon juice, 15ml passion fruit syrup and can be topped with either champagne or soda to suit.
Place all the ingredients into an ice-filled cocktail shaker and shake and strain over ice into a gin glass. Then top up with champagne or soda, and stir, then finally garnish with some passion fruit.
This is an extremely refreshing and deliciously fruity cocktail, bursting with sweet orange and tart citrus.

The third cocktail is The Cotswolds Cherry Love made with 50ml Cotswolds Single Malt Whisky, 30ml pink grapefruit, 15ml cherry syrup and 15ml egg white / aquafaba.
Place all the ingredients into a shaker and dry shake before adding some ice, shake again and strain into a coupe glass. And for a final romantic touch, add some grated dark chocolate and a cherry.
This is a tangy citrus cocktail with sweet cherry and dark fruit flavours and has a smoky char from the whisky, finishing with a light silky spice.
