Festival fever will soon be upon us as the summer season of fun and frivolity kicks off. But with the unpredictable weather, it’s a good idea to be prepared when packing the gear needed for a great time.
Leading specialists at Trekmates are ahead of the game and have a new range of products which will be ideal for getting and staying outdoors.
Come rain or shine, one great addition to the wardrobe is the light-weight ponchos which comes in deluxe, rove or tour styles. Ranging from £35 to £55 and with various colour options, the ponchos are fabulous, from the basic tour ones which are lightweight, packable and most importantly waterproof to the deluxe, which have closed sides and a zip-away cover for backpacking up to 85 litres. The mid-length sleeves and elasticated hood help keep the bad weather out and the handy stuff sack means when not in use, it can be packed away.
As with the other ponchos, the fabric is waterproof polyester complete with Trekmates DRY™ waterproof technology.
One of the most important keys to a fun festival is to have a good night’s sleep and keep up the stamina for partying. With this in mind, Trekmates has designed a nifty soft top inflatable pillow (£25), which has a comfy stretch outer cover with quilting for warmth and comfort, an internal inflatable TPU bladder and baffles for shaping and the best bit is, it can be packed into an easy to carry 11cm x 8cm stuff bag.
Clothing wise, the women’s Beeley dry hat (£27) is a great option to have at hand. The lightweight, waterproof bucket hat has a longer brim length for extra rain protection. Featuring Trekmates® DRY™ Shield waterproof and breathable technology which offers lightweight protection from the elements, the hat is stylish and comes in differing colours in and sizes.
The lightweight polyester outer is 100% recycled with an FC free DWR. A longer brim length of 7cm provides extra rain protection whilst also being rollable, improving packability and the polyester mesh lining at the inside of crown, aids breathability, along with the wicking microfleece brow band, which provides comfort for long wet days in the hills.
