Putting the best foot forward is always more achievable with the right gear.
And these days the top notch equipment can be quite pricey, so it’s important to ensure everything is up to scratch.
What’s inside a shoe is the most important thing that matters for the experts at Oboz, the leading footwear manufacturers who live to design gear for adventures.
Based in beautiful Bozeman, Montana, the designers have spectacular mountains to inspire them as they develop new lines for the seasons.
Their latest inspiration is the Oboz Katabatic LT shoe which has been given an upgrade with GORE-TEX invisible fit waterproof technology.
The range makes it a new faster and lighter version of one of Oboz’s most popular collections. It was previously only available in low shoe designs and Oboz experts worked with GORE engineers to create a mid-height shoe to overcome the challenges posed by a higher collar and create a design which lived up to the waterproof guarantee.
Dan Wehunt, Oboz footwear director of product management and design said:
“GORE-TEX technology has long been the gold standard in waterproof breathable and their Invisible Fit innovation is a huge improvement in waterproof footwear fit and performance.
“We worked closely with the team at Gore to integrate the technology into our Katabatic collection and are proud to include it in both mid and low versions of the Katabatic LT.”
The range, priced from £160 to £170, comes in different styles and colours and is testament to the firm which has its own 18-million acre laboratory to test out the designs, inspire ideas or just soak it all in.
It even inspired the name, Oboz. Every day the experts go to work and do their best to live up to the name and put hikers, like themselves, first. They create footwear that is remarkably durable, comfortable and always worthy of the task at hand. The philosophy is simple, “design the kind of footwear that you would want to wear.”
