Recycled Hats Will Have You Floating On Air

Summer is slowly arriving and it’s time to refresh the headgear wardrobe ready to hit the beaches.

Hat experts at Tilley are always one step ahead of the competition and have been at the forefront of using recycled fabrics to create wonder hats and caps.

They are stepping up their efforts in 2021 to ensure more use of sustainable fabrics and the latest gems on offer are part of the Airflo collection.

The Modern Airflo and the 5 Panel Recycled Cap both use 100 per cent recycled nylon and are Bluesign approved, which means the manufacturer has used sustainable fabric and production is with a holistic approach.

Both products have a wind and water-resistant membrane which creates a very hard-working textile and is also UPF50+ offering maximum sun protection.

The Modern Airflo (£70) is a sleek new hat which has a new bonded mesh ventilation system in the crown and is stylish with a new modern crown and brim shape, a durable, water repellant finish, tuckaway wind chord, hidden secret pocket and a hydrofoil sweatband. It is also guaranteed for life and is available in khaki/olive, olive, rockface or midnight navy colours.

The 5 Panel Recycled Cap (£30) benefits from the ecofriendly and 100 per cent recycled nylon and is made using the popular 5 panelled design.

It features a 2¾ peak width and its distinctive grommets provide extra ventilation on hot days, with the durable water repellant aspect keeping the worst weather at bay.

The cap also features a secure clasp closure for the perfect fit and the cap has an elastic headband, mesh lining and the Tilley favourite secret pocket and comes in olive, midnight navy and grey.
