BRISTON Clubmaster Travel Clock

If, like me, you travel a lot, a good travel clock is an essential item that always accompanies me wherever I go in the world.

So, I was delighted when I saw that BRISTON recently launched their new and rather elegant Clubmaster Travel Clock that is the perfect size to sit by your bed, on an office desk or bookshelf, ready to grab and slip in its felt pouch and pack in your overnight bag before you head for the airport.

This timeless classic is 50 x 50mm in size and is available in four references. The new clock casing comes in either tortoise shell-style acetate or black acetate with a mirror-polished finish. The design of the case is also recognisable by the two pushers and crown on the top, resembling the early racing chronometers.

So that the clock is easy to read, you will find bottom counters which add depth, as well as arrow- shaped applique indexes provided with Superluminova® C1. Contrasting with the dial colour, the counters and essential clock functions are nice and clear. It also has a power reserve of three years and is water resistant up to 50 metres, just in case you happen to drop it into the bath!

In addition to the characteristic dials, the Clubmaster Travel Clock is also fitted with a new Japanese quartz movement YM26 caliber manufactured by EPSON, highlighting the alarm functions, world time and the small seconds at 6 o’clock. Other features include the level of its city ring as well as at the level of its additional central hand with an arrow-shaped tip. As well as the traditional hour and minute hands and small seconds at 6 o’clock, this hand is also linked to the 9 o’clock counter which indicates another time zone, particularly handy when travelling across different time zones.

The Clubmaster Travel Clock comes with a very nice felt pouch case stamped BRISTON to protect it when packing for a trip abroad. It also makes for the perfect gift, as it is not only a valuable travel companion, but the clock also looks attractive at home or in the office as a table alarm clock or desk clock.

The new BRISTON Clubmaster Travel Clock is available from Wolfandbadger.com, and retails for £245.
