AVI-8 has for first time collaborated with renowned Korean watch YouTube channel SHW to create the new limited edition Flyboy Sector 40 Meca-Quartz timepiece collection, showcasing the brand’s dedication to crafting aviation-inspired high quality watches.

Founded in 2018, SHW is the largest wristwatch YouTube channel for Korean-speaking watch enthusiasts, and by producing a more accessible and influential platform for brands and consumers to share and consume information, it has transformed the way information about watches is circulated in South Korea.

Two new colourways of Deep Blue and Slate Gray make up this new limited edition watch collection that have a distinctive multi-layered sector dial and unique retro design reminiscent of vintage aviation instruments. The sector dial is actually a classic feature in pilot’s watches, as it is known for its clarity and precision, while the Japan Luminous applied to the indexes gives the watch excellent legibility in low light conditions.

At the heart of the watch is a precise Japanese Meca-Quartz movement with three hands, giving accurate timekeeping. The durable 40mm stainless steel case that is 15mm thick, is fitted with an anti-reflective mineral lens and functional unidirectional turning bezel, making this a very practical watch as it is also water resistant to 50 metres.

Each watch is fitted with either a blue or grey comfortable 20mm wide NATO nylon strap with buckle, adding to its stylish design and functionality.

Limited to just 200 pieces worldwide, the AVI-8 Flyboy Sector 40 Meca-Quartz Limited Edition collection is currently available to buy at Avi-8.com, priced at £180 and comes in an elegant AVI-8 gift box, making for the perfect addition to any aviation watch enthusiast’s collection.
