Last Wednesday 4th October, London’s De Vere Grand Connaught Rooms hosted the Gramophone Classical Music Awards 2023 and Raymond Weil was named as Official Timing Sponsor.
Raymond Weil is very much inspired by music in its endeavour to uphold the precision, technicality, and nobility of the art of creating luxury timepieces, and so this was a particular honour for the luxury Swiss watchmaker to be named as an official sponsor of this year’s Gramophone Awards.
Raymond Weil sponsored the ‘Artist of the Year Award’, which celebrated the best of both British and International musicians, and was this year awarded to French operatic soprano, Véronique Gens who was presented with a beautifully crafted watch from the Raymond Weil noemia collection, as part of her award.
Many of Raymond Weil’s watch designs are inspired by music as their basis, initially naming collections after its founder’s passion for opera, right up to collaborations with globally recognised artists such as The Beatles, David Bowie and Frank Sinatra. The brand prides itself on supporting emerging and established talent and partners with music arenas such as The SSE Hydro and Manchester Arena. It is also a longstanding partner to Nordoff Robbins and has raised much needed funds during its many collaborations over the years.
