EuroCave’s New Harmonie Wine Storage Collection

Light Oak Harmonie

The Brits have always liked their wine, but we are increasingly becoming a nation of wine drinkers and connoisseurs here in the UK. You only have to walk down the supermarket aisles to see the ever expanding labels from around the world. I also think that the increased production of our own home-grown wine, thanks in part to the warmer climate in the south of England, has increased interest in both wine and sparkling wine.

With this in mind, if you don’t happen to have a wine cellar at home, then where is the best place to store your wine? One simple solution is to have your very own piece of furniture that doubles up as a wine cellar which can sit in the kitchen, dining room or quite comfortably in the living room. You can even place your flat screen television on top if you like.

French company EuroCave have been creating beautifully designed and crafted wine cellars for almost 50 years now and next year will be their 50th anniversary.

Their latest creation, ‘Harmonie’, revolutionises the world of wine preservation. It is an exceptional and innovative piece of furniture that has been designed to fit seamlessly into even the most refined home interiors whilst at the same time ensuring you have the perfect temperature controlled environment for all those fine wines.

In a first for EuroCave, this new design combines both functionality and elegance with Harmonie’s shallow depth, meaning that this wine cabinet is more than simply a storage space for wine but also a centrepiece of furniture that embodies the French art of living.

The Harmonie wine storage cabinet is fitted with two independent compartments on each side, each temperature adjustable so that you can simultaneously bring both red and white wines to their ideal serving temperature.

Shelves in the centre of the cabinet can be used for storing glasses or simply used as a bookshelf for displaying personal items or that TV remote control.

Each cabinet can be customised to suit individual tastes and home interiors and is available in three finishes: light oak, pure white and smoked brown. You can even personalise your wine cabinet even further depending on your mood or time of the day by adjusting the eight colour options for each side storage unit. And should you not wish to have your wine on display to the world, you can opt for solid wood doors instead of the normal glass doors.

Open the cabinet doors and you have yet more choice, as the shelves come in either a champagne, brass or black finish, depending on your aesthetic preference. And if you want to customise your cabinet even further, an engraved plaque can be added, be it the inscription of a name, signature or unique detail, making each Harmonie wine storage cabinet truly exclusive. EuroCave try to use as many locally sourced components as possible in their wine storage cabinets, with around 70 per cent of the materials coming from within France and Europe.

Technology also has a part to play with the new Harmonie, as it can be connected through the EuroCave Connect app, offering simplified and efficient remote management of your wines. The app allows you to adjust the lighting, monitor temperature in real-time, receive alerts in case of any anomalies and also access tailored advice to optimise the preservation of your wine collection.

With its almost 50 years’ experience, EuroCave has underscored its pioneering role in the market with the new Harmonie. Innovation and technology have their place, but the company has still managed to stay true to its heritage with this new collection embodying the French brand’s continuing pursuit of excellence, where the wine cellar goes beyond its primary function of storing wine bottles to establishing itself as a design piece for the home.
