Kreskova Vodka has been voted the best Romanian vodka in 2023 by a team of expert spirits judges from around the world, receiving two major accolades in one of the most prestigious international alcoholic beverages competitions, the World Vodka Awards 2023.
The exceptional quality and craftsmanship helped the Alexandrion Group’s Kreskova Vodka receive the Gold Medal based on taste, as well as Romania’s Country Winner distinction in the Pure Neutral Vodka category.
The World Vodka Awards is part of The World Drinks Awards series of competitions. Commending excellence in the vodka category, the awards assess spirits in four categories: Pure Neutral, Varietal, Infused and Botanical and Flavoured. A panel of expert judges then taste the spirits to decide on the best entries from each country in each category. These then go on to compete against each other for the title of World’s Best. Traditionally the tasting process tends to take place in London.
The competition experts who tasted and assessed the vodka described it as having:
“A light nose with lemon yoghurt and grass; a delightfully unctuous mouthfeel, a sweet and viscous palate with lemon, grass husk and bitter depth, with a lovely balance of warm and oily texture”.
While Rob Curteis, Global Chief Marketing Officer at Alexandrion Group commented:
“We’ve always believed in the exceptional quality of Kreskova Vodka. This rightful recognition will not only cement Kreskova’s position as one of Romania’s favourite vodkas, it will also help to build Romania’s growing reputation internationally as a producer of superb spirits and wines”.
Kreskova Vodka is produced at the Alexandrion Saber Distilleries 1789 and uses a five-stage filtration process that includes active charcoal filtration. It is also one of the Alexandrion Group’s longest standing brands in its spirits portfolio. Bottled at 40% ABV, its unique taste is derived from the ultra-pure water and neutral grain alcohol.
Kreskova Vodka is also one of the most awarded brands in international competitions from the Alexandrion Group, winning a gold medal in the Vodka Masters 2022, the Master Medal in the Vodka Masters 2020, a gold medal in the International Spirits Challenge 2020 and a gold medal in the World Spirits Awards 2020.
