SEAT have just launched a Limited Edition model of the CUPRA Ateca with just 100 cars in the UK priced at £42,120 on the road for the Rhodium Grey version of £45,160 for the Graphene Grey version, which also comes with an Akrapovic Exhaust System, as pictured here.
The titanium Akrapovic exhaust system saves 7kg in weight and offers some welcome additional performance as well as a better sounding and more fruity exhaust note! This specialist Akrapovic exhaust system is being offered on just 20 of these UK models, so if you’re looking for a little more performance and better sound then this may be something to consider when ordering your new CUPRA Ateca.
This special high-performance CUPRA Ateca SUV uses the tried and tested two-litre four-cylinder 16-valve TSI petrol engine mated to a seven-speed DSG transmission and 4Drive (four-wheel drive) system that pushes out 300PS and 400Nm of torque. This means the Ateca will sprint from 0-62mph in a lightening quick 4.9 seconds, and then on to a top speed of 153mph with little effort and of course with that distinctive, throaty exhaust note.
Should you wish to boost the performance even further, then an ABT Sportsline power upgrade is available from UK retailers, which will increase the power and torque to a thumping 350PS and 440Nm, respectively. This helps boost mid-range torque and improves drivability and response times.
The CUPRA Ateca is fitted with larger 20-inch copper alloy wheels to allow for the fitment of standard 18-inch Brembo brakes to improve the SUV’s overall stopping power. A sensible upgrade given the extra power that’s on tap.
Other external styling features include a unique copper thread carbon fibre roof spoiler that enhances aerodynamic performance, as well as copper thread mirror covers and stylish copper CUPRA lettering to round off the sporting package.
Turning to the Ateca’s interior, you will find the cabin to be not only comfortable, but also modern and sophisticated, with an exclusive new colour palette which is complimented with the combination of black frames around the dashboard and infotainment screen. There are also copper carbon fibre interior mouldings and exclusive Petrol Blue Alcantara heated bucket sport seats.
