Japanese premium watch brand Orient Star has just added two new models to the Contemporary Collection’s Layered Skeleton series, reminiscent of the seaside.

The new light colours consist of a regular model with a champagne gold coloured dial and a limited edition mint green model, with a production run of only 700 pieces, perfect for the summer and those lighter, colourful outfits.

The refreshing colours used in these latest models give a carefree Mediterranean feel to the dials to express the ambience and sophistication of the coast.

Inspired by business suits, the Layered Skeleton timepieces feature an original dial composed of two layers with a beautiful tonal gradation and an enhanced sense of depth, adding to the refined, casual grace of their Mediterranean styling.

The semi-skeleton opening on the dial is paisley shaped, whilst the open work design of the power reserve display reveals the inner workings of the timepiece’s mechanical movement.

At the new models’ heart, housed in a 41mm stainless steel case, is a mechanical automatic in-house calibre F6F44 movement, with hand winding, that gives a 50-hour power reserve and stable high accuracy of +25 seconds to –15 seconds per day, along with Orient Star’s power reserve indicator.

The mint green limited edition model is engraved with a serial number on the see-through case back, while the front is fitted with a dual curved sapphire crystal glass lens. Both models are also water resistant to 100 metres.

The elegant regular Layered Skeleton timepiece’s champagne gold-coloured dial evokes rays of coastal sunshine and is fitted with a grey calf leather strap. The limited edition model on the other hand, has a youthful and active feel to it, with its mint green dial reminiscent of a fresh breeze over the blue ocean. It comes fitted with a stainless steel metal bracelet with five-piece links arranged in short pitches.

The two new limited edition Layered Skeleton watches are available to buy from the Orient UK website, priced at £799.99 for the regular champagne gold model and £829.99 for the limited edition mint green model.
